PPA cover

We understand that PPA time is an important part of a teachers weekly timetable. At Thrive our team provides high quality cover in sports and whole school wellbeing to ensure that your teachers can focus on their PPA knowing that their class are being well managed and are experiencing outstanding teaching and learning.

In-depth planning and PPA support

Our PPA cover is different. While we do deliver high-quality PE that meets the curriculum, that's not the whole story. Every session builds inclusion, confidence and wellbeing alongside the curriculum, covering wellness, mental health and PSHE as standard, for a genuinely impactful service.

Comprehensive lesson planning, backed by in-depth progression of skills and competencies documents, means your pupils show real, trackable progression throughout their time at school. Our formative and summative assessment keeps teachers fully informed on how their class is performing during PPA time and we can support wider curriculum development, including bespoke preparation for an Ofsted.

Wellbeing Champions, Game Changers & Little Lifesavers can all be delivered as part of PPA cover, alongside bespoke interventions built specifically for you school.

We have developed our own comprehensive & progression PE curriculum that includes:

  • Long term planning

  • Progression of skill documents

  • Schemes of work

  • Individual session plans & resources

  • Useable assessment methods

Sessions specifically designed to improve fundamental movement skills are complimented by a range of traditional sports such as football, rugby, tennis and athletics, and further developed through new opportunities such as, la-crosse, non-contact boxing, archery and fencing.

The impact of giving children opportunities to discuss things has been felt across the school. Both teachers and pupils have learned things and we would recommend Thrive and their support and courses to any school
