Helping children understand themselves, and each other.

Personal and social development, built through sport, not bolted on afterwards.

Personal & Social Development

At Thrive, personal and social development isn't a bolt-on, it's built into everything we do, using sport and physical activity as the way in, not the destination. Our Whole School Approach centres on two core programmes, each built for the age it matters most.

Game Changers

Game Changers helps children navigate big emotions through sport. Adaptable across all primary year groups, sessions build emotional regulation alongside six core skills

  • playing fairly

  • communicating effectively

  • winning with grace

  • losing with dignity

  • building resilience

  • working as part of a team

  • reflecting on their own behaviour

All the foundations of becoming an effective leader.

Schools report a noticeable shift in behaviour that extends well beyond the classroom - fewer fallouts at lunchtimes and break times, and more effective teaching time as a result.

Ralphie, Superdog

Wellbeing Champions

Wellbeing Champions gives children the chance to explore mental health, their own behaviour, and the impact of the choices they make, through a blend of in-class learning and practical, physical activity.

Built for Years 4, 5 and 6, with adapted sessions available from EYFS upward, it runs as six weekly two-hour sessions, delivered by a Thrive coach.

Schools running Wellbeing Champions typically see fewer low-level behaviour incidents, and children who can better recognise and talk about their own emotions, because they've practised it, not just discussed it.

Children also display a deeper understanding of inclusion, protected characteristics & fundamental British Values by the end of the programme.

Ralphie

Alongside our coaches, Ralphie the Super Dog supports sessions where he can. Because his availability is limited, he's not part of every booking - but where he joins, it's a genuine addition to a programme. Ask when you enquire whether Ralphie could be part of yours.
