CPD training

Continuous Professional Development is an important part of teaching and school life. Thrive’s CPD programme makes effective use of this time by supporting your teachers with their needs in either PE or Music, with bespoke plans that are designed around having the greatest impact in your school. 

We’re your flexible CPD friends

We can work with your teachers providing CPD training during Twilights and Insets or we can come into school to work alongside your teachers and your children for a couple of weeks, a half term or a full year. We are totally flexible and it really is dependant on your teachers and your school’s need. 

Thrive have been strategic in developing our PE curriculum, ensuring children experience progressive opportunities to develop the fundamental movement skills lower down the school, up to engaging in competitive sport with skill in Key stage 2. Making Thrive a part of your PE provision will not be a decision you will regret.

During our CPD programme we will 

  • Identify your teacher(s) needs by completing skills and confidence scans

  • Set Appropriate Goals with your teachers. 

  • Provide support with planning, curriculum development and differentiation as necessary

  • Provide support with assessment as necessary. 

  • Deliver collaboratively so your teachers are hands on. 

  • Provide feedback and guidance

  • Provide ongoing support for teachers long after we have left the school.

  • We offer fantastic value for money for our CPD Training services, but due to the unique needs of every school we cannot provide a one price fits all price list. Drop us an email, or give us a call and we can provide a free, no obligation quote

  • We only work with highly qualified individuals that are either teacher trained, HLTA’s or true industry professionals/experts. The qualifications of our teachers can be inspected prior to our start in school.

  • All of our team are DBS checked when they start with Thrive and will either be part of the renewal service or will need to renew their certificate every three years. They will also have appropriate First Aid, Safeguarding and Prevent training and Thrive has insurance to county standards of £5,000,000 and £10,000,000. Safety is of paramount importance to us.

  • We have progressive planning for PE and Music including Long Term Plans, Medium Term Plans, Individual Lesson Plans, Progression of Skills Documents and fully mapped assessment templates which partner schools have access to. Our experienced team also have experience in supporting schools with Ofsted deep dives in these subject areas. Our mental health courses are also fully planned and supported by excellent learning resources.
